Cross-Eyed Verses

Published in November 2005, "Cross-Eyed Verses" is a beautiful collection of poems and reflections written by Allan MacKellar (a member of the Girls' Home Board). All proceeds from the sale of this book are donated to New Life Girls' Home. Here's just one of the poems found in "Cross Eyed Verses.":

There's a voice in a garden

Way over the sea

There's a voice beyond Jordan

that's calling to me.

There's a cross there, that's empty;

that's standing alone.

For the one who was on it,

now sits on a throne.

There's a hand that is stretched out

so scarred to atone

a hand that belongs to

God's annointed, His Own.

And He waits, ever watchful,

as He calls from the throne,

"Lay your sins at my feet

clasp my hand and come home."
